課程概述

The course will give a fundamental and general overview of clinical veterinary ophthalmology.
The lectures cover important ocular conditions commonly seen in dogs, cats, and exotic pets in clinical practice.
Students are encouraged to read books and literatures in these areas, starting from ocular anatomy and physiology, diagnosis techniques, to a variety of ocular diseases in companion and exotic animals. 

課程目標
 1. Learning practical knowledge and techniques of clinical veterinary ophthalmology.
2. Learning clinical diagnostic and management skills for commonly seen ocular conditions occurred in companion and exotic pet practices.
3. An important basis in vet. ophthalmology for clinical practice course of final year vet. students, and clinical knowledge/skills for clinical career after graduation.  
課程要求
 Requirements: Regular attendance + one term report + one final term examination

Scores of assessment:
1. The grades to students are based on one written term examination of clinical knowledge or cases (final term) and one written report (mid term) (scores of final term plus mid term- 80% of total grades).
2. Regular attendance (20% of total grades) is required. Students with twice or more of absence (without prior notice) will be failed.

 簡答題及選擇題形式。 上課教過的疾病或病例之臨床判讀及基本知識。

 One written term report

 每位修課同學，將分配一個學期報告題目。請同學多搜尋題目相關文獻及資料先求融會貫通，接著有系統及條理的撰寫報告，此報告內容為學期分數加分之最重要依據。若報告內容過於簡略者，此部分成績以及學期總分將會被減分。若報告內容抄襲或直接翻譯1~2處網路資料或過往的眼科報告，學期報告成績將以零分計算。

20% 
 若無故缺席(未事先向助教或老師請假)兩次或以上者，本部分的分數將無法獲得。
